Anna Zielińska, born 1977 in Poznań, Poland, is a violin graduate of the Poznań Academy of Music, and has been giving concerts as a soloist, and member of chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras.

Since 2000 she has been a member of the Bayerische Rundfunk Orchesterakademie, conducted by Maestro Mstislav Rostropovich, the Eastern Festival Orchestra in Bayreuth (2002), the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra (2002/03 and 2005/06 concert tours throughout Europe and Asia, the RIAS Jugendorchester (2003) and the Nationaal Jeugd Orkest (2003-04).

Since 2000 she has worked with the Dresdner Sinfoniker. In 2006 she was a co-author of the theatrical spectacle “The Birds’ Conference” at the Fama Festival in Swinoujscie, Poland, which was awarded Grand Prix of the Festival.

She is particularly fond of improvisatory music and skilled in the art of improvisation.

In 2001 she was a stipendist of the German Musik Fabrik Ensemble and she participated in Eearle Brown’s Open Form Workshop in Heek. Engaged in the creation of experimental improvisatory music based on a variety of sound sources, she collaborates with Izabella Gustowska, the actor Janusz Stolarski and with Tadeusz Wierzbicki and his “Laboratory of Appearances”.

She is the author and the performer in the concert series called the ElectromAnia Project, aimed at propagating the violin and electro-acoustic music, including premiere performances of Polish and international compositions. In June 2004 she has received a scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture.

As a soloist she has participated in many festivals, since 2004 among others, Gelderse Muziek Zomer (The Netherlands), Zda/erzenia – Bydgoszcz, Biennale – Łódż, In Progress – Centre for Contemporary Art Laźnia, Gdańsk, 3rd International Linux Audio Conference – ZKM Karlsruhe (Germany), Musica Moderna – Łódź, Musica Electronica Nova (within the 8th Polish Radio Music Festival), Musica Polonica Nova – Wrocław, XVI Festival Forfest (Czech Republic), Audio Art - Cracow. In November 2005 she was performing the ElectromAnia Project in Chile.

Since 2006 she has been a member of the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music (PseMe).
